Becoming a Scout
To become a Scout at 1st Ledbury you need to be 10 years old to start and be younger than 13   as a scout can move on up to Explorers at 14 years.

There is now a waiting list to join this popular troop so the sooner you get on the list the better. Precedence is given to boys and girls coming up from cubs so that they have a form of continuity.

Once you are invited in from the waiting list you can join us on a Tuesday evening 7:15 - 9pm. After around 4-6 weeks of attending we will invest you into the Scout movement and then you will be a fully fledged Scout.

In those 4-6 weeks you will need to:

Purchase a green Scout shirt

Learn the Scout Law and Promise

Learn about the Scouting movement,

We will teach you what you need to know.

Scouts currently has a subscription of 10 per calendar month paid by standing order. This is payable from the 2nd attendance.

After you join us at your investiture we will present you with your Scout necker in the 1st Ledbury colours and some badges for your new shirt.

We will provide you with, at no charge, Your first necker, and all of your earned badges. Some other special event badges can be purchased when they come out if you want them.
