Leaf & Footpath publishes on British Scouting culture and accessible nature observation. Our sections are Field Notes, Seasonal Comparison, and Shared Discoveries. We do not publish outside these areas.

Source-Based Writing

Claims come from cited sources. Each article links the sources it relies on, so a reader can open them and compare wording. We do not present invented experience as fact.

Original Examples

Examples in our articles are our own, written to show how a field note, a seasonal comparison, or a shared discovery might be recorded. They illustrate the method rather than report a group's activity.

Linked Sources

Links point to the sources used for factual statements. When a link changes or fails, the claim resting on it should be treated as unverified until checked again.

Labelled Illustrations

Illustrations are AI illustrations. Each one is labelled as such and credited honestly to the tool that produced it. We do not present generated images as photographs of real events or places.

Corrections

If a claim does not match its source, a correction note should record the article, the sentence, the source, and the difference. The contact page explains this method.

Independence

Leaf & Footpath is an independent editorial magazine. It is not associated with any Scout group or awarding body.
